Trying to make a difference this new year with your habits? Here are 5 successful habits for 2022 to make sure it is a successful one!
1. Make a Focused list of the things you want
I am a big believer in manifestation. With that being said, I also am I big believer in writing ALL the things you want. Whether that’s for the month or for the entire year, SET YOUR INTENTIONS. Listen guys, it’s okay if you don’t achieve everything you want in the year but when you do achieve even 5 out of the 10 things you wanted, feel so happy and grateful to yourself because you had a vision and you made it happen.
Get into the habit of visualizing your life and writing your goals to help get you where you see yourself. That means also come up with a plan on how you will achieve your goals too. You can do this by:
- Creating a vision board
- If you are into crystals bring them out during a full moon and write down the things you want and place it next to them
- Have a designated journal where you list the things you want monthly
2. Find people who expand your awareness of possibilities
Have you heard the saying “You are who you hang out with?” Well, let’s just say this phrase does hold truth to it. The most successful people always emphasize how important your inner circle is. If you have ambitious entrepreneurs in your circle I guarantee you, you will likely have more ideas, more ambition and drive yourself from watching and being around your friends.
The idea is to surround yourself with people who inspire you to do better and be better. It’s okay to say no to those who don’t serve you in any way. Your energy is worth preserving and we all should be consistently looking to be better in all aspects of our lives.
3. Read new books
I am one of those people who LOVES reading. If you aren’t though don’t worry it’s probably because you are not reading something that intrigues you. Try picking out 5 books with different genres and start reading them. You might enjoy more self help books vs romance or mystery vs fiction.
Point is reading takes you to a whole other place, it’s like binge watching a great show on Netflix. You just need to find the right books and in turn your vocabulary and comprehension will increase as well as your ability to empathize with others.
4. Practice Mindfulness
Practicing mindfulness most of the time is really over looked. This is just because half the time we think we already do this (but don’t as frequently as we should) or we don’t really understand what mindfulness is.
Do you ever just sit with yourself and question where you are, what you are doing, where you want to be and who you want to be? It’s the act of being present and getting to know yourself and your environment.
You can do this by:
- Writing your goals down for the month or year
- Creating a morning and evening routine
- Practicing gratitude
- Incorporating more movement (Walks, bike rides, working out etc)
- Taking social media breaks
5. Always look for something new to learn
In order to grow we need to learn. Stagnation should not be an option for anyone and is bound to happen if you are not constantly looking to elevate your thinking and your mind. Every day, every year we need to be better and the only way that is going to happen is to continue learning.
Learn new ways to communicate better in all your relationships, learn how to be healthier, learn how to love yourself more, learn boundaries etc. Everything is life is learning, we will never be done learning at any point or at any age. So make a list of the things you want to learn this year and work on those diligently every month and see how your life starts changing for the best.
