Your chakras are your body’s energy centers, and there are seven of them. Sanskrit for “cycle”, chakras allow the qi in your body to move freely. Mental, spiritual, physical, and emotional health are all improved when the qi flows freely. However, any negative situation or illness may block one or even all chakras, and you may feel lethargic, fatigued, beaten down, not confident, or physically ill as a result.
What would you do if one of your chakras is blocked? The answer would depend on the difficulty you are facing. Color therapy, which corresponds with the chakra in question, is the best way to help it clear. In this blog post, we will explore the 7 chakra colors and how to use them.
The Root Chakra
Red is the color associated with the root chakra, which is located at the base of your spine. Grounding and survival are two of the chakra’s functions. You do not feel grounded when this chakra is blocked. You might have digestive issues, hip issues, or lower back pain.
Wear anything red to help strengthen it. Bring red crystals like red jasper with you. Consume red fruits and vegetables such as bell peppers, tomatoes, and strawberries. Meditation can help clear your root chakra by envisioning a red bubble surrounding it and picturing it being cleared away. Continue doing this until you see a change.
The Sacral Chakra
The orange color represents the sacral chakra, which is located in the pelvic area. The sacral chakra governs your creativity and libido. A blockage may lead to addictions, low libido, lack of creativity, depression, and lack of passion.
To strengthen it, focus on the color orange. Orange-colored T-shirts can be worn, as can orange-colored healthy foods such as oranges, apricots, or carrots. Make sure you carry a crystal such as the Tiger’s Eye with you. Focus on that chakra and visualize an orange bubble surrounding it and healing it. Do this until you feel the chakra is healing.
The Solar Plexus Chakra
The solar plexus chakra is located on your abdomen or solar plexus area, and the associated color is yellow. This chakra is associated with self-confidence and wisdom. You may suffer from both abdominal pain and low self-esteem if it is blocked.
One way to focus on yellow, you can wear yellow clothing. You can unblock it with crystals, such as yellow jasper. Yellow foods are healthy, such as yellow bell peppers or corn. Feel your solar plexus chakra unblocking as you visualize a yellow bubble surrounding it. Rinse and repeat until you feel it is unblocked.
The Heart Chakra
Compassion, empathy, and love are all ruled by the heart chakra, which is located in your heart region. It is either green or pink in color. When it is blocked, you have difficulty loving yourself and being compassionate. In some cases, you may experience chest pains, which are usually not serious, but if you are concerned, you should see a doctor.
In the meantime, wear pink or green clothing or anything that is pink or green. Consume healthy foods such as green peppers, leafy greens, avocados, and onions. Wear crystals such as green aventurine or rose quartz. As often as you can, visualize a pink or green bubble surrounding your heart and healing your chakra.
The Throat Chakra
Blue is the color associated with the throat chakra, which is located in the throat area. Communicating and learning are the functions of the throat chakra. Your chakra is likely blocked if you have difficulty expressing yourself or if you experience throat discomfort.
Blue should be your focus. Wear blue clothing and blue jeans to help remain focused. Consume blueberries, plums, and purple grapes, as well as gems such as sapphire or aquamarine. Imagine a blue bubble clearing the throat chakra.
The Third Eye Chakra
The third eye chakra is located on your forehead between your eyebrows, and it is purple or violet in color. Intuition, learning, and wisdom are associated with this chakra. When you are not sure of what decisions to make, experiencing intuitive blockages, and struggling to learn and retain what you learn, it could be blocked. Even headaches may occur.
Violet or purple is the color to focus on. Consider wearing clothing of those colors, and eating foods of those colors that are healthy, such as purple cabbage, plums, blackberries, boysenberries, beets, eggplant, and purple grapes. Imagine an amethyst stone surrounding your third eye and clearing it as you carry it around.
The Crown Chakra
Your crown chakra is on the crown of your head, and it is clear. This chakra represents unification, spirituality, and connectivity. A blockage is likely to occur if you don’t feel connected or aren’t spiritually connected at all. Even migraines may occur.
Unblock it by focusing on anything that is clear such as water. You can’t wear clear-colored clothes, but you can wear white clothes. Be sure to keep clear quartz with you at all times. Be sure to drink lots of water and broth. Visualize a white light healing your crown chakra. And that concludes the seven chakras.
Everyone faces stressful situations. The accumulation of stress will block your chakras. Therefore, it is essential to manage stress and make time to meditate, do breathing exercises, do physical activity, and eat healthy and nutritious foods daily. If you don’t do that, you will have various ailments because of blocked chakras.
Even if you end up in a situation where you get angry with someone and focus on how much that individual upset you, that anger that you are carrying will block your chakras. That is why resentment is poisonous for you. So one of the best ways to release that is by exercising. And if your anger is consuming you, then head over to a break room to release it. You want to do anything to remove the toxins that could build up in you from having negative feelings, so you keep your chakras clear.
If you find that even if you are following the tips mentioned above to help clear chakras and are still feeling out of balance, you can always go to an energy healer such as a reiki master or go for acupuncture to help clear the blockages. You deserve to be happy and healthy.
